About the Project
Memoirs of the Molested is publishing a book to be released in April of 2013. We would like to assist now-adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse in sharing their stories through the written word, because we believe that the creative process is an important step in healing.
MOTM is a collection of literary works meant to promote awareness of child molestation and help to educate the public on the effects this type of abuse has on the victims and their families. Proceeds from the sale of this book will benefit a nonprofit organization in the San Antonio area that provides specialized services to children recovering from the trauma of sexual abuse.

About the Publisher
Memoirs of the Molested is the publishing project of Valerie J. Perez of San Antonio, TX. She believes that the creative process is an important step in healing. For this reason, she has made it her personal mission to assist survivors of abuse in telling their stories through the written word.
Valerie hopes the participants will find strength and empowerment through this project, knowing their contributions are helping to educate and raise funds to benefit a non-profit organization in their own community. Her ultimate wish is that the abused and their families will find closure through sharing their personal narratives.
